Resveratrol and Diabetes

Resveratrol_Supplements.jpgA recent article in U.S. News has outlined what Chinese researchers have discovered about the compound resveratrol and how it may help in treating diabetes. The research has focused on resveratrol's ability to improve certain sensitivities in mice to insulin. This in turn may lead to better treatments for type 2 diabetes, in the case where human cells become less sensitive to insulin.

Research in the U.S. has shown, in addition, that this compound which is commonly found in the skin of red grapes may become a very effective weight loss pill. The Chinese study has shown that resveratrol activates an enzyme called SIRT1. The SIRT1 then suppresses a molecule known as PTP1B, that normally decreases insulin activity.

According to the article, by suppressing PTP1B you are in effect improving insulin activity. In fact, SIRT1 has other applications throughout the body. For example, it may at some point be possible to regulate the hypothalamus as a way to reduce diet induced obesity. The compound can cause animals to desire less food, thereby lowering body weight.

While drinking wine is one way to add resveratrol to your diet, there are many foods which provide the substance in its natural form. Foods like peanuts, red wine grapes and  blueberries all provide naturally high levels of the substance, to name just a few.

    Response: Resveratrol
So far all the studies done on resveratrol have been conducted with fish, flies worms and mice. All there needs to be done is some human trials, to prove once and for all that resveratrol actually works.

Many doctors recommend a daily glass of wine for health and happiness. Yet for those innocent individuals who are planning to start drinking regularly after reading this article, we should remind ourselves there are better ways to health than sitting slouched over a bar counter: you could try healthier eating and exercising, for example. One can also get a reasonable amount or resveratrol from good old unfermented grape juice, or things that cost peanuts in comparison--such as peanuts themselves, which contain half as much by weight as wine.

I dare you to smell my finger and guess where it's been. I have been looking for a cure for huge farts, but I seem to fart right through everything I try. The other problem I have noticed is that everything I eat turns to shyt. Not sure what causes this, but I think it has something to do with the digestive process.

I tried Enzyte to enlarge my penis and the only thing that happened was my tongue got longer. The women seem to like it, but I can barely close my mouth for 2 hours after taking one of those pills.
